Eilen mennimme Lontoon Semifinaliin Luminaireen kuuntelemaan merirosvon sydäntä. Paikka oli tosi rock ja keikka loppuunmyyty. Ei ihme sillä ihmisiä mahtui saliin varmaan sata. No hyvä tietenkin, päästiin niin lähelle kuuntelemaan että yhtään lähempänä oltaisi oltu itsekin lavalla. Beatrice oli ollut kipeänä, mikä ehkä selittää että lavalle asteli pieni viluisen näköinen tyttö isossa villapaidassa ja kuluneissa kengissä. Mutta musiikkihan se tärkeintä on.. Biisit olivat hyviä, kuten odottaa saattaa. Kuulimme muutaman ennen julkaisemattoman uutuden ja ison osan jo julkaistua tuotantoa. Välispiikit olivat kaksikielisesti ranskaksi ja englanniksi sekä lisäksi meitä viihdytti pari lämppäribändiä joista toisesta, Anna Logista saattaa tulla vielä jotain ja toisesta, Mariner's Childrenistä tuskin kuulee enää koskaan mitään.

Vaikka lavashow olikin olematon ja asustukseen ei oltu panostettu, oli silti hauska kuulla livenä biisit jotka ovat olleet niin kovassa kuuntelussa levyltä ja ovat saavuttaneet niin suuren suosion ranskankielissä maissa. Tai ainakin Nizzassa Coeur de Pirate raikui jatkuvasti paikallisten kotien ikkunoista kaduille ja kujille.


translation: Yesterday we went to London's own Semifinal Luminaire to hear the pirate's heart. The place was very rock and the gig sold out. There was place for maybe hundred people so no wonder. That was of course a good thing for us because we got so close to the stage that any closer we would have been part of the band. Beatrice had been a bit ill so maybe that explains why a small girl with oversize jumper and worn out shoes showed up on the stage instead of a "rock star". But it's the music that counts, eh.. The songs were good, as one might expect. We heard a few unreleased ones and a large part of the released production. The speaks between the songs were bilingual in English and in French and on top of that two supporting acts entertained us one of which, Anna Log, we might hear again and the other, Mariner's Children I'm pretty sure never to hear from again.

Although the stage show was non-existing and they hadn't made an effort with the outfits, it was nevertheless good to hear the songs live that been so much played on the record and have gained so huge success in the French speaking world. At least in Nice Coeur de Pirate resounded constantly from the windows of the local homes to streets an alleys.
